FOR CHILDREN, A GREAT TOMORROW

Genuit is the main project of the Priapo Foundation. It is a wide-ranging ethical body, whose principles base the work of the foundation itself. Genuit refuses any form of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, political affiliation, age and disability.
Genuit is the opportunity fathers are given to bring up their children realising projects that will grow as they grow.

“Genuit doesn’t proselytise, Genuit is a way of thinking about the future with the future’s eyes: those of the children who one day will be the future.”

MISSION

Genuit considers as its priority the realisation of projects in practice. For this reason, it also develops its operation in joint venture with other realities or companies, with the ultimate aim of allowing access to credit for subjects of the social economy, whether they are non-profit or for-profit, evaluating enterprises, people and projects mainly on the base of their capacity to produce “social value” for children in the first place.

REALIZATION OF PROJECTS IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES

In the Third World, three out of four individuals die before the age of 50. Due to the absence of fundamental services, such as drinking water in homes or medical assistance, a third of the people living in the poorest areas of the world have a life expectancy of just 40 years. In these Countries child mortality, in fact disappeared in the industrialised ones, today still causes four deaths out of ten. Mother mortality (for pregnancy and birth) kills one million women per year, 99% of whom in the Third world. It is estimated that about 800 million people in the world don’t have an adequate house and in many large cities the majority live in bad neighbourhoods or even on the pavements.

WHAT WE DO

• We promote growth and meritocracy, through a mechanism that awards those enterprises that invest in human capital.
• We are committed to prevent, thanks to a management which pays attention to the ecological and social aspects, potential damages and environmental imbalances that may be caused by our institute and/or by the addressees of our funds.
• Through an ethical and responsible use of the money we promote peace, search for justice – especially in the economical field – openness to dialogue and debate.
• We support the satisfaction of the primary needs and the implementation of projects that enhance the quality and accessibility of the common assets and that are not in conflict with the collective interest.
